Put simply, this is a random dumping ground for any 2 AM thoughts, hostile rants, shameless self-promotion, and (shit, why not) the occasional ruminations on my life past and present and how much of a mess it can be. If what you read here is some combination of poorly communicationed ideas, puerile angst, abundant philosophical pretentions, and crap grammar--no, I am not posting under the influence of anything (well, usually) and you are not hallucinating. I am an (ir)regular on the Adult Swim General Forums, almost exclusively in the Rants folder. If you see the_shotgun_rhetoric that's me. My Youtube account is wristofkings--it's basically an archive of music vids and other shit I find intriguing.

My primary hobby is listening to lots of music--genres of greatest interest include punk (best before 1990), alt/indie rock (I am a grunge child), post-punk, rock 'n' roll/rockabilly, '60s-'70s classic rock, metal (of various stripes--I tend to be very choosy tho), post-1950s jazz, singer/songwriter, blues, and hip-hop. I would say I'm "eclectic" but I hate that word. Favorite bands/artists are Bob Dylan, Pixies, Hendrix, Tom Waits, Joy Division, Mastodon, Death, Converge, John Coltrane, The Ramones, The Stooges.....

I'm a weekend cyclist, my two rides are an old GT hybrid and an underutilized Specialized Rockhopper.

Another interest of mine is bench racing. I looove automobiles and can probably recite the acceleration stats for every car sold in the past year at the drop of a hat, but ask me to wrench beyond a routine oil change and I have no clue... much to the chagrin of my MacGuyver-esque father. I also inherited a casual interest in airplanes from him (he's a private pilot and has built and maintained his own light sports-class two seater in the past).

Casual participant in the LemmingFursona vid project (currently on hiatus) alongside other ASMB stalwarts such as FlamingPinecone, Crimm, I_Am_Jacks_STD and Verpetas/Whelp/Gov_William_Bradford.

As for politics, I am a volunteer member of the local GOP despite my own anachronistic/idiosyncratic views that place me somewhere on the spectrum as a moderate libertarian. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Poli Sci (read: toilet paper) and have a casual interest in realms of economic and social policy. I'm an opinionated bastard with a hatred for talking points (either side), but given a little knowledge and a strong argument I can be easily swayed because unlike many of my fellow persuasion I find tilting at ideological windmills a waste of time.
